Last weekend saw me turn 50 and a big thank you to all my family and friends who joined me at various venues for curries, breakfasts, spa days, lunches and chips in a bus shelter! It was real!
But back to “work” on Monday with the start of Module One of Art & Business of Surface Pattern Design. The first two days have been full of great ideas and inspiring exercises to do. Of course there’s a Facebook Group……when isn’t there one these days?? and everyone there is joining in and sharing their pictures.
I used to find sharing my images quite intimidating but got over that during the Make It In Design Summer School and actually it’s not that scary and the feedback can be invaluable.
Not forgetting that I also have my next Uni module to research this week. I’m taking the train to Cardiff to visit the Millennium Centre in the Bay. Hopefully I can take photos which will fit both projects – sketching for ABSPD and work towards Uni. Multi-tasking genius, if I can pull it off.

It looks like a very interesting building and I’m sure there will be lots to photograph.
