After submitting my final design to the Make It In Design Summer School this week I have to admit to feeling a little lost.  I must be one of those crazy people who thrive on working to deadlines as left with oodles of time on my hands I get nothing done!

It would seem that all my work and incessant tweeting paid off though as I have won a copy of Rachael Taylor’s book 20 Ways to Draw a Doodle.  What a lovely surprise and I can’t wait for it to arrive and to start filling it with my own doodles.

Back to Uni in less than two weeks now and our first brief should be emailed to us next week so that we can get started on research, sketching and trends.

I think Rachael’s book and the Illustrator skills I have gained through the MIID Summer School will be put to use very soon.

I think it’s the deadline for the second phase of the Global Talent Search competition so I will be looking out to see who of the 50 shortlisted get through to the final six.  Sadly not me this year but I will have another go in 2015.

Happy Thursday x
