Just browsing through the hundreds of blogs that I follow ( how are you supposed to keep up? ) and I spotted an art/design competition on the blog page of the Surface Pattern Design Guild
The competition is the 2nd from Bridgeman Studios, a fine art image licensing company based in London with offices in New York, Paris and Berlin.

The Brief: Enter the Great Outdoors
Our brief this year is The Great Outdoors.
We will be looking for outstanding, inventive and high quality
illustration, fine art, photography and graphic design. All winning
entries will be chosen based on their commercial potential for product
We will be looking for high-quality, digital images
which sum up exploration, travel, freedom and wild nature. Get outside,
sniff the breeze and get inspired by nature!
Let your imagination
run wild and send us your imagery which visualises The Great Outdoors.
The brief will be open to new and existing artists and will encourage a
range of media including painting, photography, printmaking,
illustration and graphic works.
We are looking for imagery
suitable for an outgoing and adventure-led target market particularly
with a focus on male consumers for the product sector.
My experience of designing for the Global Talent Search competition last year was very rewarding and pushed me completely out of my comfort zone. If you decide to have a go – good luck!
